About Wendy’s Soy Wax Candles
Wendy’s started making candles in 2010. It was a hobby making candles for around the home, giving a few away to family and friends. Someone suggested she start making more and selling them at the local markets.
The first market she went to was Fishermans Road market. For several years this was the only market, establishing her brand and a style of candle.
In August 2014, Wendy opened up a stall at Eumundi Pavillion Market. Saturday and Wednesday were the selling days. Her time there included time in a shop space with friend and photographer Kellie Parry.
In 2016 Yandina Market welcomed Wendy. Every Saturday morning for 18 months grew her loyal customer base. Her time at the markets drew to a close as preparations kicked off for the new Bli Bli shop to open.
In 2018, in August the Bli Bli Village Shopping Centre began trading and Wendy opened her store.
Wendy’s Soy Wax Candles is now a small garage business again. Concentrating on refilling jars, giving ‘candle life’ back into old containers and jars.
What sets Wendy’s Soy Wax Candles apart is that every single candle is hand-poured. Yep, every single candle is handmade.
